Sixth week activities
Thank you for being such a solid support in the process of adjustment for over a month now. By this time you most likely feel comfortable in your mentor role. This week we kindly to spend some time during your face to face meeting with your mentee to discuss relevant part time clinical work in general.
1. Explain to them what kind of clinical work/shifts UNI requires from vet students. Please, discuss work-permit and social-security issues if apply. It is also important to expand their understanding on finding jobs off-campus in the field of vet medicine.
2. In addition please, talk about any unresolved topics that may be left unanswered for now. If there are none, feel free to open up discussing some aspects of motivation - how to keep and find balance, keep up dedication in spite of failures at times. You will find additional munitions for this topic in the "mental framing for mentors" relating to week #6 below.
