Fitting in socially in a new social enviornment is a process. Its speed and its level of difficulty greatly depends on personal attitudes, and felxibility. If your buddy is not an outgoing type, it will take some time to build a momentum for him/her to take a chance. There could be several reasons why someone may not feel comfortable socializing at a given life phase. We recommend you accept his/her current level of comfort, but talk when you are asked what you think is the norm/trend at Univet.
